OVERVIEW
Gymnastics foundations is where gymnasts will explore and develop fundamental movement skills, posture, position and alignment, flexibility and mobility and build aerobic capacity through involvement in gymnastics and other sports.
Through this level of activity, we will see the following qualities become embedded in the movements: tempo, symmetry, form, strength, capacity, mobility, stability and stiffness.
It is critical that good form is demonstrated through the movements so it sets the gymnasts up for smooth transitions through the next stages of the pathway.
